Well.. let's revisit last night's wonderful match..
I remember walking into the Arena last night and thinking.. "This is a weird feeling.." I mean, the building had an air of excitment to it. It was very happy feeling.. Then I thought that there seems to be something missing in all of the pomp and circumstance to the evening's soire. I realized.. "Tony's not here!" For those of you who don't know that well.. (and the one or two of you that read this dribble known as my blog) Tony LaCapra, charter member of the Pittsburgh Penguins Booster Club, passed away at the age of 82 in August. Somehow, though, I felt his presence. It came to me at 6:46 of the First Period.. in the form of Pens Grinder, Michel Ouellete. It was Tony's kind of game, and Tony's kind of crowd. I know he was watching the game, singing at the top of his lungs, and gulping mai-tai's all night..
May Tony's memory be eternal..
