Whatever happened to being classy?

You know, with all of the time on my hands, and the need to find someway to fulfill it, I have come up with a novel thought. Why, on God's green Earth, do we have to put up with the Britney Spears' of the world?? Why can't performers be like, oh I don't know.. Bobby Darin, Donnie Iris, any of the members of the band Genesis, or, gasp, even like kids in the high school marching band. There is too much emphasis on the style of the show. That's because there isn't anything in the way of substance in the performance. One child once told me, "If there ain't no dancers or no fireworks, it sucks." Well.. Pardon my french but Piss off! If all you can do is prance around a stage.. the music, or even the words you are lip-synching don't matter then. Leave the performing to the professionals, and stay in the audience, where you belong Britney!
